We Know Cortez

Been here since the 1880s. Still has to be searchable.

Cortez is one of the last working fishing villages in Florida. The fish houses still unload at A.P. Bell, Star Fish is still frying what came off the boat, and the Maritime Museum still keeps the old schoolhouse open. Nobody here needs to be told what they do. But the traffic that feeds the village comes over the Cortez Bridge from Bradenton Beach and out Cortez Road from west Bradenton, and it searches before it stops. A physical therapy clinic or a chiropractor on Cortez Road gets picked from the map the same way the raw bar does: photos, hours, reviews, and whether the site lets you book without calling. We're a few minutes up the road. We get the listing finished, the reviews coming in, the site booking, and the reminders going out — for the practices along Cortez Road and 75th Street, and for the charters, marinas, fish houses, and cottages that need exactly the same things.

Physical Therapy Clinic
Cortez Road

Three visits a week, and half of week two never happens

A small clinic in a plaza on Cortez Road whose whole business is the plan of care: three visits a week for six weeks, and a patient who stops showing at week two doesn't get better and doesn't come back. The map pin was on the wrong plaza, and reminders were a voicemail the morning of. We fix the listing so the pin lands on the door and the hours match the door. Then the reminders go out by text the evening before, in the clinic's voice, with a one-tap reply to confirm or ask to move, and a short note after the last visit asking for a review. The therapists still run the schedule; they just stop chasing it.
